Known as the “First Lady of Salsa” or L.A.’s “Salsa Diva,” Laura is one of the pioneers of the “L.A. style.” Considered one of the foremost salsa instructors on the West Coast, her reputation & teaching skills place her in high demand and have taken her around the world teaching, judging, choreographing and performing for television, stage & movies, including the “The Mambo Kings,” “Out To Sea” & “Dance With Me.” She has shared the stage with Tito Puente, Celia Cruz and the Spanish Harlem Orchestra. She produced and created the aerobic workout program and video, Cardio Salsa. Laura currently teaches at Santa Monica College and has also instructed at Loyola Marymount University and Cal State LA. Laura was inducted into the Salsa Hall of Fame in May, 2019.
